Richard Vazquez

Founder and President

“Together we win.” this motto is a career-driving force for Rich Vazquez. As a young professional Rich found that networking was the best way to gain knowledge and first hand insight into the business industry. He joined several networking groups and recently finished a three year term as president of a national organization. Rich reflected on many of his success in business networking and found the key to networking success is culture, solutions, and opportunity. We took those values and apply it who we are as EP Group and what we do.

As managing director at The Hotaling Group, which was established twenty-years ago and headquartered in New York City on Park Ave, the senior level executive has already built one of the full-service, risk management firm’s fastest growing teams nationwide.

Positioned on the business development side of his company, Richard focuses on identifying potential clients and engaging them in conversations to understand their financial and business goals. Through such assessment, Richard advises on the full scope of financial services his firm offers; from estate planning and employee and executive benefits, to compensation and retirement planning needs. Particularly sensitive to tax strategy and mitigation planning, Richard then assists in developing strategies to preserve his client’s wealth and estates.

Prior to his current post, Richard was a rising star at Northwestern Mutual, where, as financial advisor and field director, he garnered forty accounts within his first six months, building his book and achieving the prestigious award of Pacesetter First 40, a milestone that less than 10% of the industry achieve. The bilingual, Spanish-speaking executive proudly built the Agency’s internship program, improving its nationwide internship program ranking from 78th of 80 to 20th of 80.

Outside of the office, Richard seizes opportunities to achieve at extreme sports. He enjoys body building and in 2018, competed in a semi-professional NPC Competition, which was a significant personal accomplishment for him. He ranked among the Top 10 on stage, while working 60+ hours, competing with those who devote all their time to bodybuilding as their profession. A travel lover, who enjoys hiking and snowboarding, he recently realized his adventurous goal of snowboarding The Rockies and climbing both Huayna Picchu and Machu Pichu.

With 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, I have enjoyed focusing on Business Banking and providing trusted advice to my customers for the last 12 years.

My team and I provide financial solutions and lending to business banking clients; as well as providing solutions for ancillary products such as treasury management and merchant services.

I work with local business leaders and referral sources to provide help to people in and out of work. My goal is to be a leader and a pillar of banking information in the communities I work and serve.

I am a huge sports fan and always willing and ready to talk sports with anyone.

Donald Lai

Donald Lai is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson for The Corcoran Group.

Years of experience in Real Estate combined with personal goals and expectations, has helped Donald cultivate a high level of standard when it comes to sales, investments, rentals, 1031 exchanges and more. As a result, Donald has helped to sell and buy numerous homes and apartments throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

Donald really stands out as a professional who takes his time to listen to your needs and to deliver exactly what you want. Whether you are looking to sell or buy, he goes out of his way to make sure he provides the full solution because he understands that home is not a place—it’s a lifestyle.

Through his relationships, clients have been known to commend Donald on his rapid ability to complete transactions, negotiating finesse, and professional yet down-to-earth composure. Donald takes his work seriously and personally as he understands that building thoughtful relationships is key to great success.

In his spare time, Donald enjoys traveling the world and experiencing a well-rounded cultural cuisine. Recently, he traveled to Asia where he learned more about the global Real Estate market and explored cities such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur while sampling amazing food.

Donald volunteers and is dedicated to help empower the Asian American community to develop leaders through innovative philanthropy. Being a part of Project by Project (PbP) New York enables him to do that. PbP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in New York City in 1998, currently having chapters in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles

Greg Cayne

Treasurer

Gregory H. Cayne is an Associate in MSF’s Taxation & Estates Group. He focuses his practice on estate and trust planning and administration. Gregory develops and implements estate, gift, GST and income tax planning strategies through the use of wills, trusts, advanced directives and other estate planning instruments and agreements. He also counsels clients on structuring asset protection plans and business succession planning. Other focuses of his practice include international estate planning, assistance with elder law issues, as well as medicaid and special needs planning.

Gregory frequently represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries and assists in all aspects of estate and trust administration including probate proceedings, transfer of assets, post-mortem tax planning, and the preparation of estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns, and fiduciary accountings. Gregory believes in using a “team approach” and works closely with accountants, financial advisors, etc., to better identify clients’ goals and find creative and appropriate solutions.

As a George Washington University MBA, Sean has honed his ability to understand and practice business in a way that maximizes his experience in wealth management, corporate planning, as well in philanthropy. Sean's unique career has afforded him experience working in multiple arenas--sports, entertainment, corporate, education, philanthropy-thereby cultivating relationships, opportunity and innovation across the professional landscape. ​

He creates and implements systems for personal, business and philanthropic needs to create profitable outcomes through the examination of the efficacy and efficiency of existing process streams. These streams include: insurance, taxes, wealth management, private banking, office management, and access to legal counsel. ​

Sean has served in many roles across professional arenas. Among his distinguished roles, he has served as Managing Partner for BraverJames Sports Management; Director of Sports & Entertainment of The Hotaling Group; Founder & Executive Director of Be In The Know About Bullying; Chief Operating Officer of New York Stem Cell Institute; Advisory Board Member of Virtual Enterprises International; Advisory Board Member of Ultimaxx Health; and​ Board Member of Athlete Ally.

Joseph is a CPA with Friedman LLP, a mid-size regional firm with locations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles, and China. Joseph has 10 years of experience in the real estate, professional services, and consumer goods industries.

He focuses on providing financial reporting services to clients that have a loan facility with a bank or other financial institution. Also, he provides tax services for individuals as well as companies ranging from small start-up entities to large real estate investment trusts. His goal is to help clients grow organically while limiting any tax ramifications.

James Kroll

For over fifteen years, I have helped educate, protect, and support individuals getting mortgages at excellent rates, particularly in New York City and the tri-state area. My background in finance has strengthened this work over the years, and although the home loan process can sometimes hit rough patches, I always enjoy the challenge and helping people.

My clients are often getting their first or second mortgage, and made up of a diverse group of people, including recent graduates, 2nd home buyers, newlyweds, foreign nationals, and investors.
